SK Energy has recently opened a new pop-up store in Ulsan, Korea, after completely transforming a two-story commercial building. The beer house sports a brand-new appearance, aiming to attract young adults with its exterior reminiscent of a service station.

Inside, the shop is decorated with the red and orange colors of the brand alongside beer posters adorning the fuel pumps, which act as beer dispensers.

The new SK Liquor Station reinterprets the concept of a service station by offering an attractive spot for consumers. Aside from the draft beer selection and food offerings, the store also features various attractions such as a photo zone, multimedia wall, darts, and a merchandise shop.

“Last year, we celebrated our 60th anniversary with a retro concept, and this year we incorporated the recent trends of ‘neon’ and ‘city pop.’ To reflect the distinctive features of ‘Ulsan,’ we utilized tables shaped like oil storage tanks and ‘pipelines’ symbolizing the dynamism of the industry,” said Park Kwang-kyu, Marketing Planner, Retail Business Office at SK Energy.

While each generation may have different memories associated with gas stations, this new site provides a space where people can come together and share memories collectively. The Ulsan SK Liquor Station pop-up store will be open until August 13th, presenting a new vision for the future of gas stations.
