SPAR Hungary celebrates 290 franchise stores

The retailer opened 19 stores as part of this program and operates over 150 sites in service stations across the country.
SPAR's franchise network in Hungary has expanded by a total of 19 stores during the first half of 2024, expanding its footprint up to 290 sites across the country.
In total, the franchise system provides livelihoods for more than 3,500 retail professionals. The retailer launched its franchise program twelve years ago and has expanded beyond convenience retail, with 87 sites located at OMV and 65 at ORLEN service stations.
"SPAR's franchise program will not stop, in the future we will continuously expand the network with motivated, dedicated local entrepreneurs willing to meet the strict criteria and expectations", said Mark Maczelka, Head of Communications at SPAR Hungary.
Among other things, customers can buy fresh meat and meat products from the company's Regnum meat plants, as well as convenience products from the SPAR enjoy convenience plant in Anvilő. In addition, regional specialities can be added to the selection in these shops.
