SPAR Hungary has been modernizing and upgrading its retail network across the country alongside the opening of its 300th independent retailer-operated store.

The retailer’s network modernisation programme offers a better shopping experience and promotes sustainability while providing a great shopper experience. First, a €2.9 million refurbishment of the INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Székesfehérvár took place, featuring modern refrigeration systems and a new layout offering a more convenient and organised shopping experience.

The company also invested over €1.7 million in modernisation of three supermarkets in Miskolc, Sopron, and Tatabánya, focusing on updated interiors, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

In addition, SPAR Hungary has reached a milestone with the opening of its 300th independent retailer operated store in Lenti. The site underwent a full renovation, including updated equipment and a modern design.

The brand’s independent network in Hungary launched in 2012 and has grown steadily, with seven more locations opening this year.
