The car wash operator has acquired Bluebird Express and Epic Shine.

Spotless Brands has acquired Bluebird Express Car Wash and Epic Shine Car Wash, marking its expansion into Idaho and Oregon. These acquisitions strengthen Spotless’ presence in the Intermountain region and establish a foothold in the Pacific Northwest, adding 15 operational locations to its network. Spotless has scaled from 27 locations in 2020 to nearly 200 today through strategic mergers, acquisitions, and new site development.
“We are thrilled to expand into Idaho and Oregon with the addition of Bluebird Express Car Wash and Epic Shine Car Wash. Both businesses are known for exceptional service, convenient locations, and high-quality offerings. They are a perfect fit for Spotless, and we look forward to supporting their teams as they continue delivering outstanding experiences to customers and communities,” said John Standley, CEO of Spotless Brands.
Bluebird operates seven sites, while Epic Shine has eight, both with strong reputations for innovation and service. These acquisitions, along with 25 planned new site openings in 2024, position Spotless to surpass 230 locations by the end of 2025. This growth is backed by Spotless’ recent upsizing of a senior secured credit facility, facilitated by KKR Credit.
With over 700,000 active members, up sevenfold since 2020, and a pipeline of more than 100 new locations, Spotless continues to build its leadership in the car wash industry. Bluebird and Epic Shine bring award-winning service, innovation, and value to the Spotless network, enhancing customer experiences while maintaining their local focus.
