Deal enables seamless use of tens of thousands of chargers across the U.S and Canada.

North American electric vehicle (EV) charging providers SWTCH Energy and FLO have signed a roaming agreement designed to simplify charging access for drivers. The deal allows users of either network to access the other’s charging stations directly through their existing app, removing the need for multiple accounts or payment methods.
The agreement tackles one of the EV industry’s biggest challenges: fragmented charging networks. Under the new arrangement, EV drivers using the SWTCH or FLO app can now access tens of thousands of public chargers across North America.
“Our partnership with FLO represents exactly the kind of industry collaboration that will encourage and accelerate EV adoption,” said Carter Li, CEO of SWTCH. “Through breaking down network silos, SWTCH users now have access to more than 70,000 chargers across North America.”
Existing payment methods and digital wallets will work seamlessly across both platforms, while enhanced trip planning tools will provide greater visibility and convenience.
Louis Tremblay, President and CEO of FLO, added: “Through our roaming agreements, FLO members can access more than 110,000 public chargers today. Working with SWTCH strengthens that network even further, giving drivers the confidence that charging will be seamless wherever their road takes them.”
The agreement builds on both companies’ existing efforts to enhance interoperability, each already holding roaming partnerships with several other charging networks in Canada and the United States.
