Terpel appoints new Operations Manager in Peru

Alan Hidalgo returns after international assignment to oversee local operational performance.

Terpel has appointed Alan Hidalgo as its new Operations Manager in Peru, following his recent international assignment at the company’s lubricants plant in Cartagena, Colombia. During his time abroad, he led the restructuring of the supply chain, the expansion and automation of the facility, and the strengthening of operational processes under international standards of efficiency, safety and sustainability.

With more than two decades of experience in the energy sector, Hidalgo built most of his career at ExxonMobil and Mobil Oil del Perú, where he has held key roles since 2003. His background includes leading organisational change, overseeing operational start‑ups, managing continuous improvement initiatives, implementing behaviour‑based safety systems and guiding certification processes, all with a focus on operational excellence and efficiency.

In his new role at Terpel, Hidalgo will oversee local operations, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of processes while upholding the company’s technical and safety standards. His appointment supports Terpel’s strategic priorities in the Peruvian market and reinforces the company’s focus on operational performance and disciplined execution.
