The company has partnered with UnaBiz to equip motorway outlets with sensors to monitor the temperature control of refrigeration units.

TotalEnergies will equip motorway service station stores with new temperature monitor sensors. The company has partnered with UnaBiz to upgrade monitoring equipment across over 160 outlets, which are now equipped with around 3,000 refrigeration temperature sensors.
The digital cold chain monitoring solution empowers TotalEnergies to bolster its sanitary control plans and adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles, bringing food security to the food service industry.
The sensor solution automatically records temperature readings in the refrigerated units, ensuring compliance with health standards in the stores and restaurants of the chain’s service stations. As the sensors transmit information wirelessly from the refrigeration units to the customers’ system, the retailer’s team accesses the consolidated temperature and stock data, as well as product use-by dates easily via a computer and tablet.
For the TotalEnergies teams, who previously took temperature readings manually several times a day, this real-time monitoring solution brings about substantial time-savings. Bolstered by these benefits, this 3-year partnership is currently being extended to other branded service stations in Europe and Africa.
