The company has opened a new charging facility and currently operates 17 service stations which also offer e-mobility services.

Virši has inaugurated a new electric vehicle (EV) charging facility at its Olaine service station, featuring four charging ports of up to 160 kW of capacity. The retailer celebrated the opening by offering free charging sessions for drivers during the inauguration day.
The brand’s network currently has 17 locations with EV chargers – nine of them in cooperation with the VAS Road Traffic Safety Directorate. By expanding e-mobility capabilities, the company is supporting the transition into alternative fuels.
The firm aims to have more than 20 service stations with EV charging options by mid next year and in nine more locations provided by the CSDD e-Mobi network.
"By doubling the number of powerful electric charging stations, it is planned to provide at least 28 ports with a capacity of 160 kW, as well as more than 30 ports with a capacity of 40 kW throughout the territory of Latvia. More powerful connections will also enable the charging of trucks in the future, contributing to the gradual decarbonization of the transport sector," said Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board at Virši..
The opening follows a 2022 agreement signed with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency for the creation of 20 new Virši electric charging stations. These locations are scheduled to be supplemented with 28 connection points with charging capacity of at least 150 kW.
