The retailer’s 16th charging location is located in Riga and equipped with a charger able to charge up to a 320 kW capacity.

Virši has opened the most powerful electric vehicle (EV) charging station located in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
The opening is part of the company’s continuing development of its EV charging network in cooperation with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. The site is equipped with two charging stations: one offers ultra-fast charging of up to 320 kW while the other has a capacity of 40 kW.
This is the chain’s 16th charging destination, a network that comprises a total of 50 charging ports across Latvia.
"In total, Virši already provides 50 ports throughout Latvia, but by promoting the availability of this sustainable transport energy type in our country, by September we plan to expand our network with five more electric charging stations," said Anrijs Tukulis, Sustainability Project Manager at Virši.
The company signed an agreement with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency in 2022 that encompassed the roll out of 20 new EV charging stations within its fuel retail network.
Virši currently operates 78 outlets, 75 of which are service stations, and employs more than 800 people across the country.
