Both companies have set up 50 chargers at 15 locations between Denver and Seattle to help improve public charging infrastructure reliability.

Volvo Car USA and Starbucks have followed through on their plans to open a public electric vehicle (EV) fast charging network across some of the coffee company’s U.S. stores.
A total of 50 DC fast chargers have been rolled out throughout 15 Starbucks locations. The 1,350-mile route between the Denver area and Seattle is set to make charging EVs as easy as grabbing a coffee.
“These Starbucks locations provide a perfect stop along a long drive to relax and quickly recharge not only the car, but the driver,” said Mike Cottone, President of Volvo Car USA and Canada.
These chargers, placed about every 100 miles on average, can add up to 110 miles of charge in as little as 15 minutes.
“As we reimagine the Starbucks Experience of the future, we’re excited to invite our customers on our journey to become a resource positive company,” said Michael Kobori, Chief Sustainability Officer at Starbucks.
Just as Volvo Cars plans to be a fully electric car company by 2030 and climate neutral by 2040, Starbucks aspires to cut its carbon footprint in half by 2030.
