As part of its commitment to sustainable development and with the aim of reducing its carbon footprint, OPESSA - YPF's own network of 157 stations - announces its alliance with YPF Luz.

In the partnership’s first stage, the company will provide clean energy to 21 service stations located in Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, and Córdoba. The energy will be supplied from the General Levalle Wind Farm, which will begin operations at the end of this year.

These stations were chosen due to their electric chargers, in order to further strengthen the sustainable mobility proposal of YPF PUNTO ELÉCTRICO.

“Today, sustainability plays a leading role in the transformation of our network, and this agreement is an example of how we aim to evolve towards having more sustainable stations,” said Maite de la Arena, Executive Manager of YPF.

This agreement will meet an energy demand of 12,600 MWh/year, equivalent to the consumption of 3,150 households, and thus avoid the emission of 2,700 tons of CO2e per year.

This milestone is part of the transformation plan led by YPF from 2020, through the Stations of the Future program. The initiative focuses on transforming its network of stations to improve customer experience, based on the pillars of innovation, digitalization, and sustainability.
