Zunder has unveiled a new ultra‑fast electric‑vehicle charging station in Narros del Castillo, Ávila, strengthening rapid‑charging coverage in a key Spanish route.
Designed with both private motorists and professional drivers in mind, the station includes dedicated spaces for heavy‑duty transport. These bays offer wider parking areas and specific entry and exit paths, including extended turning radii to accommodate large vehicles.
The facility is equipped with 14 CCS connectors, each capable of delivering 340 kW of ultra‑fast charging. Eight connectors are reserved exclusively for electric trucks and commercial transport, reflecting the growing push to electrify long‑distance freight.
All charging points support Plug&Charge technology, enabling automatic session initiation as soon as a vehicle is plugged in. Drivers may also pay directly with a bank card without registering, a feature aimed at keeping charging simple for infrequent or multi‑brand users.
Zunder says the station has been fitted with lighting and video‑surveillance systems to ensure safety around the clock. Navigation to the hub can be launched directly from the Zunder app, which also allows drivers to add the stop to their planned route.
