With the goal of developing the energy transition in Chile and strengthening the national e-mobility infrastructure, Copec Voltex has inaugurated the first public charger for electric vehicles (EVs) in Osorno.

This new charging point is part of the company's extensive network, which currently covers more than 1,800 kilometers. With over 180 strategically located sites along the country's main highways and cities, this aims to easen travel from Arica to Punta Arenas.

This network not only promotes the use of EVs but also significantly enhances accessibility and convenience for drivers throughout the national territory.

The inauguration of this charger is part of the “+Carga Rápida” program by the Ministry of Energy and the Chilean Agency for Energy Sustainability. This initiative encourages collaboration between the public and private sectors to expand e-mobility infrastructure in various municipalities across the country.

This collaboration is crucial for achieving decarbonization and sustainability goals, driving the adoption of clean technologies in both public and private transportation.
