Copec’s c-store chain aims for zero waste by 2029

The Pronto brand diverted 35% of its waste from landfills, recycling 685 tons of waste across 94 of its stores.

Pronto, Copec’s convenience store chain, aims to achieve zero waste by 2029 to drive a sustainable transformation with a tangible impact on the environment and the circular economy.
As part of this commitment, the company achieved a significant milestone in 2024 by diverting 35% of its waste from landfills, recycling 685 tons of waste across 94 of its stores. In collaboration with Food for Future (F4F), the brand repurposed over 140 tons of organic waste into nutritious animal feed.
Additionally, the chain implemented industrial composting across 11 stores, recycled 196 tons of used cooking oil for biodiesel production, and donated 27 tons of food, benefiting more than 47,000 people.
With these achievements, Pronto Copec continues to strengthen its efforts in sustainability and reaffirms its commitment to transforming the industry.
