Freedom CNG has announced the acquisitions of two regional industry leaders: Colorado-based X3CNG and Utah-based Lancer Energy, expanding its renewable fuel network throughout the Western United States.

X3CNG, an operator of public-access CNG fueling stations in the Rocky Mountain region, brings to the deal an extensive footprint, including locations in Colorado Springs and Greeley—the latter being the state’s largest public CNG facility.

Meanwhile, Lancer Energy offers technical expertise in designing, building, and maintaining CNG/RNG fueling infrastructure, as well as services extending to electric vehicle (EV) and hydrogen fueling systems.

“Having led X3CNG and now continuing to serve customers as part of the Freedom CNG team, I’m proud to advance our shared goal of sustainable energy,” said James Mora, former President of X3CNG and now General Manager of Freedom CNG’s Rocky Mountain Region

Lance Granger, founder of Lancer Energy and now Group Vice President at Freedom CNG, added: “Joining forces with Freedom CNG marks an exciting new chapter — one that brings incredible leadership, expanded resources, shared values, and a bold vision for a better, cleaner, energy future.”

These acquisitions enhance Freedom CNG’s existing network of eight renewable natural gas stations across Texas and Colorado, bolstering the company’s mission to provide cost-effective, sustainable fueling options for commercial fleets, municipalities, school districts, and industrial users.
