We spoke to industry leaders about the impact AI is having on the industry and some of the key challenges they face.

These systems provide real-time insights into customer behavior, helping retailers optimize everything from product placement to fuel pricing across multiple sites.

Another major trend discussed is the growing need for consistent data interpretation, which is being addressed through "data dictionaries" that ensure vendors are aligned in their reporting. Online ordering, driven by AI and machine learning, is expanding beyond food service to include convenience items and personalized experiences.
