Last update: Jan 16, 2025
Currently operating 574 charging points throughout its network, the company aims to establish 800 across 300 stations.

OKQ8 and Skellefteå Kraft marked a significant achievement in Sweden with the launch of its 200th station with fast electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities.
Located in Jordbro, south of Stockholm, the station offers a power output from 150 kW and beyond. To celebrate, the station will offer free charging from January 16-19, as part of the retailer’s partnership with Skellefteå Kraft, one of the country’s largest producers of renewable energy.
"Reaching 200 stations offering super-fast charging is a major milestone in our journey to make EV charging fast and easy for everyone. By increasing accessibility, we contribute to reducing CO2 emissions from transport, as a crucial part of the transition to a sustainable future," said Karin Eriksson, CEO of OKQ8 Scandinavia.
The company’s ultimate goal is to establish 800 charging points across 300 stations by 2026, making it easier for people to drive EVs across the country.
Today, the network includes 574 charging points for passenger vehicles, spread across 200 stations in Sweden and Denmark.
Since 2021, OKQ8 and Skellefteå Kraft have collaborated to establish one of Sweden’s largest networks of super-fast chargers.
