Last update: Oct 16, 2024
Located in Elmshorn, the new location will feature 16 high-power charging points with 400 kW charging capability.

Orlen is building a new charging park in Elmshorn to feature 16 high-power charging points as part of its strategy to further develop e-mobility in Germany.
The company celebrated a ground-breaking ceremony attended by the Mayor of Elmshorn, Volker Hatje, and representatives of the firm. The 1,500 m2 area will be equipped with eight Alpitronic HYC-400 fast-charging stations with 400 kW charging capacity.
The charging site will be fully covered with a photovoltaic system to generate sustainable electricity.
“With this step we are sending a further signal in favor of expanding charging infrastructure in order to meet the increasing demand for efficient charging options and promote electromobility in our own network. We are particularly pleased that we are able to realise our first charging park in the immediate vicinity of our company headquarters in Elmshorn“, says Artur Frankiewicz, General Manager Orlen Deutschland GmbH.
Completion of the charging park in Elmshorn is planned for the end of 2025. Orlen currently operates over 40 charging points in Germany, operating under the Orlen Charge brand.
The brand is based on three strategic pillars: The construction and operation of e-charging parks, expanding e-mobility with partners, and integrating charging infrastructure in Orlen's own and star's network of 600 stations across Germany.
