After four years of operations, FEMSA has achieved a new milestone for its Latin American expansion strategy.

FEMSA’s convenience store chain, Oxxo, has reached a significant milestone in Brazil, opening its 600th store after just four years of operations.
The company, which operates in 24 cities across the State of São Paulo, now employs over 4,000 people, reflecting its rapid growth in the Brazilian market. Looking ahead, the company has stated that Brazil will remain a key focus for its organic expansion in the next five years.
FEMSA aims to continue its aggressive growth strategy, particularly in the São Paulo area, as it solidifies its presence in the region.
“We have directed our strategy in these first years toward rapid and efficient expansion, and we will continue to follow this path, adhering to our long-term plan,” said Hugo Curiel, CEO of Grupo Nós, the entity that owns Oxxo and Shell Select brands.
Curiel also stated that the brand’s format has significant growth potential in the country, as it remains a developing market for the convenience store sector.
FEMSA already operates over 20,000 Oxxo stores across five countries, with Brazil being one of the largest markets in terms of store count, second only to Mexico.
