Collaboration boosts high-performance and destination charging to support the country’s electrification goals.

Porsche and Shell have announced a strategic partnership to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Oman, aiming to accelerate EV adoption and support the country’s sustainability vision.
The agreement includes the installation of at least eight co-branded Porsche and Shell direct current (DC) high-performance charging stations across Shell forecourts in Oman. In addition, the partnership will see the rollout of 125 alternating current (AC) Porsche Destination Chargers at key locations throughout the country.
“This partnership reinforces our dedication to providing a reliable EV charging infrastructure in Oman. It underscores our commitment to feasible, scalable, and more sustainable consumer-focused solutions, built through strong collaboration with key stakeholders,” said Burair Al Lawati, General Managerf for Strategy & Energy Transition at Shell Oman.
Under the program, Porsche customers purchasing EV models from June 1, 2025, will receive a complimentary two-year subscription package that includes up to 2,250 kWh of charging at Porsche-branded DC sites.
Several high-performance chargers are already installed and operational, with plans underway for further expansion. As part of their collaboration, Shell and Porsche also intend to support public education efforts and integrate digital tools to simplify access and enhance the EV ownership experience.
