Repsol, Alsa to advance multi-energy solutions for sustainable mobility
Last update: Oct 7, 2025
Partnership aims to transform Spain’s road passenger transport sector through innovation, technology, and emissions reduction.

Repsol and Alsa have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to jointly drive the transformation of road passenger transport in Spain, building on a cooperation history of over 30 years.
The agreement establishes a framework for developing joint projects across multiple energy areas. A key focus will be renewable fuels produced from organic waste, which can reduce net CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared to conventional fossil fuels.
The collaboration also covers initiatives in 100% renewable electricity, renewable natural gas, and solar photovoltaic energy, as well as the development of energy storage solutions.
“This agreement with Alsa reinforces our commitment to working with key transport players in Spain,” said Valero Marín, Executive Director of Customer at Repsol. “Together, we will promote multi-energy solutions that move us closer to a more efficient, connected, and low-emission mobility model.”
Another key area will be e-mobility, including the deployment of charging points and associated services in both private and public environments. In addition, the companies will explore opportunities in hydrogen and biomethane as part of a broader multi-energy approach.
The partnership also extends to digitalization and telemetry projects aimed at optimizing fleet management, including the integration of Repsol’s Solred API, and energy efficiency pilots using Energy Saving Certificates (CAE).
Through this alliance, Repsol and Alsa aim to accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable mobility model in Spain and contribute to the decarbonization of the transport sector both nationally and beyond.
