Repsol surpasses 1,000 stations offering Nexa Diesel
Last update: Apr 30, 2025
Spanish energy company strengthens its commitment to sustainable mobility with advanced renewable fuel and consumer incentives.

Repsol has reached a new milestone in its sustainability journey, surpassing 1,000 service stations across the Iberian Peninsula that now offer 100% renewable Diésel Nexa.
Out of this network, 998 stations are located in Spain and 63 in Portugal. This development underscores the multi-energy company’s firm commitment to renewable fuels and broadening the range of technologies available for customer mobility.
“This fuel is not only a sustainable alternative but also our most advanced diesel, made entirely from renewable sources. Our goal is to continue offering all energy options that meet our customers’ mobility needs while reducing emissions,” said Valero Marín, Repsol’s General Director of Customer.
Produced from organic waste, this fuel enables up to a 90% reduction in net CO₂ emissions compared to conventional mineral diesel, thanks to its lower carbon intensity derived from renewable sources.
The company’s goal is to end 2025 with at least 1,500 service stations supplying Diésel Nexa across the Iberian Peninsula, representing nearly 40% of its network.
Repsol already operates the first large-scale plant for renewable fuel production in the region, located in Cartagena, and is currently transforming a second facility in Puertollano. Set to launch in 2026, the revamped unit will feature new technologies capable of processing used oils and other organic waste, with a production capacity of approximately 200,000 tons of 100% renewable fuel annually.
