KMG International has completed the rollout of a new retail IT system across its Rompetrol fuel station network in Romania, introducing a unified digital platform designed to support daily station operations.

The system is currently live at around 500 Rompetrol stations and will be extended during 2026 to additional markets where the brand operates, including the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, and Georgia. The new system replaced retail, card management, and fiscal systems across more than 20% of Romania’s fuel station market in a three‑month period.

The new platform supports core fuel station functions such as point‑of‑sale systems, pump control, payments, loyalty programs, shop and foodservice operations, and real‑time data integration. Rompetrol Fill&Go cards remain in use and are expected to be gradually replaced by contactless and virtual card solutions during a future development phase.

Automated recognition tools are also being retained, with license‑plate recognition software scheduled for deployment later this year. The system integrates advanced digital tools to support efficiency and future scalability.

Rompetrol Downstream operates more than 1,200 fuel distribution points across its network, including owned and partner stations, mobile fueling solutions, fuel depots, and LPG infrastructure.
