Chinese energy giant Sinopec has recently completed Hong Kong’s first hydrogen refueling station and the company’s first site established outside of China’s mainland.

Officially completed on November 26, the facility is a comprehensive energy service station that offers a wide range of energy products including fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, hydrogen and electric vehicle (EV) charging. In addition, it also features an Easy Joy convenience store for non-fuel offers.

With a daily capacity to refuel 1,000 kg of hydrogen in the first phase, the station is equipped to provide 24/7 refueling services. A variety of transportation or operational FCEVs are capable of refueling on site, including buses, sanitation vehicles, passenger cars and engineering vehicles, etc.

Moving forward, Sinopec remains dedicated to supplying hydrogen for Hong Kong and supporting the growth of the hydrogen industry across the region.
