Deal enhances DRB's automation capabilities with next-generation tunnel control systems.
Vontier Corporation has announced the acquisition of Sergeant Sudz, a U.S. provider of smart tunnel automation and motor control center (MCC) technology for car wash operators.
The move strengthens Vontier’s car wash portfolio by integrating Sgt. Sudz’s industrial automation expertise with the DRB platform, its flagship car wash technology business. This will enable Vontier to offer a more comprehensive digital solution for tunnel car wash operations, combining DRB’s strengths in point-of-sale systems, customer engagement, tunnel controls, and data analytics with Sgt. Sudz’s advanced smart MCC capabilities.
“Sgt. Sudz extends DRB’s digital expertise and advances our mission to help car wash operators grow more efficiently. This integrated solution drives revenue and boosts cost awareness, productivity, and performance,” said Devon Watson, President of DRB.
Based in Greenville, Tennessee, Sgt. Sudz has built a strong reputation through specialized car wash automation tools, intuitive interfaces, and responsive customer support.
“Joining Vontier and DRB allows us to accelerate innovation and better support our customers. We’re excited to continue leading Sgt. Sudz under a banner that shares our vision for the future of car wash automation,” added James Vanderwiele, co-owner of Sgt. Sudz.
DRB systems are currently used by 17 of the 20 largest car wash chains in the U.S. The acquisition positions Vontier to further expand its presence in the rapidly evolving car wash technology sector.
