Vontier appoints Andrew Bennett to lead convenience retail division

Last update: Oct 7, 2025

New leadership aims to unify fueling, EV charging, car wash, and retail services to deliver seamless customer experiences.

Vontier Corporation has appointed Andrew Bennett as Group President of Convenience Retail, a move designed to unify its brands under one leadership and simplify how convenience retailers deliver services in a rapidly evolving market.

The company is combining the capabilities of Gilbarco Veeder-Root (fueling and environmental solutions), Invenco (payment and connectivity), DRB (car wash automation), and Driivz (EV charging and energy management) to create a single, integrated portfolio for convenience retailers. Bennett, who previously led Driivz, brings nearly 30 years of experience scaling software and connected solutions in energy and industrial sectors.

“Convenience stores are becoming multi-service mobility hubs, not just pit stops,” Bennett said. “Our customers need technology that works seamlessly together and enables consumers to fuel or charge their vehicle, order food, or get their car washed – all while enjoying a consistent elevated experience.”

Research by Vontier highlights the stakes: 61% of U.S. drivers remain loyal to their preferred convenience store, and nearly 80% would drive out of their way to shop there. Yet many operators face challenges integrating systems from multiple vendors, accessing actionable data, and keeping pace with new payment technologies.

“Together, these solutions enable convenience retailers to deliver the integrated, modern experiences consumers expect while simplifying operations and unlocking new revenue opportunities,” added Mark Morelli, CEO of Vontier. “Our strategy focuses on streamlining our go-to-market approach and helping our convenience retail customers evolve their operations and offerings so they can continue to grow.”

Vontier’s unified portfolio addresses these issues with connected payment systems, centralized remote management through its Hub platform, customer engagement tools that drive in-store sales, and advanced energy management software that optimizes EV charging performance.
