Casey’s General Stores is deepening its footprint in Texas with the construction of seven new convenience stores set to be completed by the end of 2025.

The new sites, confirmed through filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, will be located across central and eastern Texas, as reported by C-Store Dive. Locations will span across Abilene, Tioga, Gladewater, Texarkana, Athens, and Burnet.

The Iowa-based retailer is investing over $6.2 million into the builds, continuing its expansion strategy less than two years after entering Texas through its 2023 acquisition of the Lone Star Food Stores chain.

That move was followed by the purchase of 148 CEFCO stores, positioning Casey’s as a significant competitor in the region. Upcoming stores will range in size from 4,200 to 4,570 square feet, aligning closely with Casey’s standard format and reinforcing its commitment to organic growth alongside acquisitions.

CEO Darren Rebelez previously noted that while acquisitions jumpstarted Casey’s presence in Texas, new builds are key to sustaining its long-term strategy in the state.
