The company has acquired a 70% stake in the Chilean operator of the brand to enhance its foodservice offer across service stations.

Copec has announced the acquisition of a 70% stake in Procafecol Chile, the company that operates the Juan Valdez foodservice brand in the country.
With this move, the service station chain strengthens its ecosystem of brands and services, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and excellence in its product offering. The investment is part of its broader strategic plan to expand its portfolio of premium and fast-casual products, aimed at enhancing the customer experience across its service touchpoints.
Juan Valdez, a respected premium coffee brand, is seen as a strong complement to Copec’s current offerings, enabling the company to better support customers “on the move.”
The company stated that this decision reflects its ongoing commitment to developing new services and products that meet evolving consumer needs. In addition, it strengthens the value proposition of its service stations and the spaces where its customers live and move.
This latest addition joins other food and convenience brands recently integrated into Copec’s portfolio, including Streat Burger, which became part of the company last year.
