Copec to expand smart locker network across Chile

Major logistics overhaul alongside Blue Express aims to double delivery capacity and transform last-mile operations by 2026.
Blue Express and Copec have unveiled a landmark $100 million investment to revolutionize Chile’s logistics sector through the launch of an ambitious project designed to position Blue Express as the largest, most modern, and most automated logistics operator in Latin America.
Blue Express is preparing to celebrate 30 years in operation with a network that includes more than 3,200 delivery, pick-up, and return points across its sites and Copec service stations. At the heart of its Master Plan is a structural transformation of the company’s logistics operations, including a 40,000 m² expansion of its main hub in Santiago, which will become one of the most advanced distribution centers in Latin America.
“The smart locker service takes advantage of our network of service stations to speed up the delivery and pickup of packages, also contributing to reducing the industry's carbon footprint,” said Arturo Natho, CEO of Copec. “We are modernizing our logistics operations to triple the package delivery capacity by 2030, while promoting the creation of between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs in different regions, generating concrete opportunities for people and companies throughout Chile and thus reinforcing our commitment to being an engine of progress for the country.”
A key pillar of the plan is the rapid expansion of Blue Express’ smart locker network, strategically installed at Copec service stations. The company currently operates 200 lockers and plans to reach 500 by the end of 2025.
The synergy between Blue Express and Copec, which began with their integration in 2022, has been pivotal to this expansion. Today, the partnership goes beyond connecting parcels — it connects people, bringing e-commerce and modern logistics closer to every corner of Chile.
