Emarat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com to introduce cryptocurrency payment services at service stations.

This marks the first initiative of its kind in the MENA region. The partnership will initially enable crypto payments at 10 locations, with plans for a broader rollout across the chain’s network of more than 155 outlets throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE), pending regulatory approval.

As part of the initiative, merchants at stations will be able to integrate crypto and digital asset services into their checkout systems, aiming to provide greater flexibility and embracing a future-ready retail environment.

"This partnership with Crypto.com introduces a new era of convenience and possibility for our customers, while strengthening our position as a future-focused brand. Together, we’re bridging the gap between energy retail and emerging financial ecosystems," said Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chief Retail Officer and SVP Marketing at Emarat.

The partnership also includes exclusive customer offers and a joint promotional program aimed at enriching the experience for both platform users and the chain’s customers.

A key highlight of the agreement is Project Landmark, Emarat’s world-first naming rights program for service stations. Through this initiative, the Crypto.com Emarat Service Station will be unveiled at Emarat’s Al Ameen Station on Al Wasl Road, blending signature Emarat branding with Crypto.com’s digital-first identity.
