Atlante, Electra, Fastned, and IONITY have joined forces to create an interoperable network of 1,700 stations offering 11,000 fast charging points.

Four European electric vehicle (EV) charging leaders have joined forces to create Spark Alliance, a new charging network encompassing Atlante, Electra, Fastned, and IONITY’s locations.
This new entity will bring together a combined network of 1,700 charging stations and 11,000 fast charging points across 25 countries, all accessible through any of the member companies’ apps. The initiative aims to address fragmented and inconsistent charging experiences, one of the most persistent pain points for EV drivers.
“This is a new era for EV drivers in Europe. No more hopping between apps. No more wondering if a charger will work. No more compromises on speed or quality,” the association published on LinkedIn.
By enabling interoperability across their networks, the Spark Alliance promises a unified charging experience, regardless of which member app a driver uses.
The move is being hailed as a significant step toward accelerating EV adoption and supporting Europe’s broader climate and mobility goals. With charging infrastructure recognized as a critical enabler for the EV transition, the Spark Alliance aims to set a new standard for customer-centric, cross-border charging solutions.
