German subsidiary boosts sustainable mobility as city shifts municipal fleet to renewable diesel.

ORLEN Deutschland has taken another step in its sustainability strategy by introducing HVO100 renewable diesel at its Elmshorn filling station, where the city’s municipal fleet will now refuel.
The move follows a partnership with the local administration, underlining ORLEN ’s role in driving the energy transition at the community level. The Elmshorn initiative adds to the company’s growing HVO100 footprint, currently offered at six German stations, with further sites planned for 2025.
“We are steadily expanding the availability of HVO100 across our fuel station network and are pleased to have the support of political decision-makers in our home city,” said Dariusz Kwieciński, CEO of ORLEN Deutschland GmbH. “Together, we can drive the mobility transition forward and further reduce CO₂ emissions.”
Other subsidiaries of the Group are also rolling out the product: around ten service stations in the Czech Republic are expected to offer HVO100 from early 2026, while the company already supplies the fuel at three locations in Austria.
By investing in renewable fuels and building infrastructure alongside traditional offerings, ORLEN is positioning itself as a key player in Europe’s transition to climate-friendly mobility.
