Spirii, Voltoss will introduce ultrafast chargers on Scandinavian harbors
Last update: Sep 5, 2024
The equipment is set to power both EVs and vessels along the coasts of Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia.

Technology company Voltoss and Spirii have teamed up to deploy mobile ultrafast charging stations at harbors across the Nordics.
The mission is to establish easily accessible solutions for ultrafast charging of electric vehicles (EV) and vessels along the coasts of Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia. All chargers are equipped with a battery system to maximize the performance and efficiency of renewable energy, with the option to add solar energy charging.
The chargers will be operated through Spirii’s EV charging platform. This can be achieved by making the chargers publicly accessible or by selling excess stored energy back to the grid operator.
“We’re super proud to contribute to this project, which not only advances the electrification of vehicles but also extends to marine vessels. While the shift to electric power does pose challenges for the grid, charge point owners have a unique opportunity to ease the strain by supplying stored electricity during peak times,” said Tore Harritshøj, CEO and co-founder of Spirii.
The first charge point was launched on August 30th at Fiskebäck harbor in Gothenburg, in collaboration with Gothenburg Region’s leisure harbors authority, GREFAB.
