Titan Cloud expands platform with acquisition of Urgent and Techniche EV

Last update: Oct 8, 2025

The acquisition marks a significant step in Titan Cloud’s effort to build what it calls a “unified platform” for downstream energy operators.

Titan Cloud plans to acquire maintenance solutions Urgent and Techniche EV from Australian software company Techniche Limited. The deal, expected to close in early Q4 2025, is set to broaden Titan Cloud’s capabilities beyond fuel asset management to include site equipment and EV infrastructure.

The acquisition marks a significant step in Titan Cloud’s effort to build what it calls a “unified platform” for downstream energy operators. By integrating Urgent’s asset maintenance tools and Techniche EV’s charging infrastructure solutions, Titan aims to offer operators deeper visibility across both fuel and non-fuel assets where downtime directly translates into lost revenue and customer dissatisfaction.

Industry estimates suggest that nearly two-thirds of facilities spend up to 20% of their budgets on maintenance. Titan Cloud argues that centralising these functions can help turn maintenance from a cost burden into a driver of efficiency and profitability.

“Urgent strengthens our maintenance capabilities, while Techniche EV advances our long-term vision of an energy-agnostic platform powered by data science and AI,” said Titan Cloud CEO Brett Garrett. “These solutions help operators optimise performance, cut costs, and deliver on their energy strategy with measurable impact.”

The acquisition is also expected to boost Titan Cloud’s global presence as energy retailers grapple with digitalisation, tighter regulations and the shift towards alternative energy sources.
