Fastned has launched its first unstaffed, 24/7-accessible shop in Germany at its Dinslaken-Nord charging station near the A3 motorway. The facility offers EV drivers barrier-free access to restrooms, coffee, and vending machines, with entry managed via debit or credit card verification.
The opening ceremony, attended by Dinslaken Mayor Michaela Eislöffel and other guests, highlighted the shop’s role in enhancing regional mobility. Mayor Eislöffel praised the project as a blend of the area’s heritage and modern technology, enhancing the charging experience for EV drivers.
Constructed using sustainable, modular components, the shop reflects Fastned’s commitment to eco-friendly design. The building, made from PEFC-certified wood and installed within two days, features large windows and a nature-inspired aesthetic.
Fastned currently operates 39 fast-charging stations in Germany, with plans to expand similar amenities to other locations, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible and convenient.
