Acquisitions of ORLEN Unipetrol Doprava and Petrotrans strengthen transport security and expand cross-border capacity.

The ORLEN Group has completed a major step in the consolidation of its logistics operations, integrating its Polish and Czech transport companies to boost efficiency and competitiveness across Europe.
As part of the restructuring, ORLEN Kolej has acquired ORLEN Unipetrol Doprava, a Czech company specialising in the transport of chemical products, while ORLEN Transport has taken over Petrotrans, one of the country’s largest road fuel carriers. The companies will remain legally independent and continue to operate under their existing brands.
“We are consolidating and optimising our logistics operations, fully leveraging the expertise of Czech companies and their employees,” said Ireneusz Sitarski, Vice President of the ORLEN Management Board for Wholesale and Logistics. “The transactions are essential for the further development of the Group’s transport services and for the delivery of our strategic objectives, including the decarbonisation of transport operations.”
The transactions are expected to strengthen the Group’s transport security in the refining and petrochemical sectors, unlock synergies in logistics, and reinforce its strategic position both locally and internationally.
In addition, the consolidation underscores ORLEN’s long-term strategy to build a modern, resilient, and sustainable logistics network, supporting both its regional growth ambitions and its transition toward lower-carbon transport solutions.
