S&G Convenience Stores has acquired eight PS Food Mart stores in the Toledo, Ohio area, strengthening its presence in the regional convenience retail market. The sale represents a targeted divestment by PS, a family-owned operator with more than 40 locations across South Central Michigan and Northern Ohio.

Founded in the 1920s by the Folk family, PS Food Mart has long been recognized as a respected, best-in-class retailer. Under the leadership of Richard Folk, the company has built a strong reputation for quality operations and community-focused service.

The divestiture of the Toledo-area stores allows PS Food Mart to streamline its portfolio, concentrate resources on its Michigan core, and position the business for long-term growth and reinvestment.

Downstream Energy Group (DEG) served as exclusive sell-side advisor to PS Food Mart, managing valuation, the sales process, and negotiations.

S&G Convenience Stores gains high-quality retail assets through the transaction, expanding its footprint in a competitive regional market. For PS Food Mart, the sale underscores a strategy of portfolio optimization while maintaining a strong presence across Michigan.
