ADNOC Distribution’s new themed station looks at nature for inspiration

The Jabal Jais service station won Best Forecourt Design Award at ReFuel Forum MENA 2025.

Launching its first-ever themed station in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), ADNOC Distribution set out to deliver a new design with a focus on sustainability and harmony with nature. The site includes a convenience store, a third-party QSR, and an area dedicated to cyclists and outdoor activities.

The Jabal Jais service station in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) introduces a design that integrates with the surrounding mountain landscape. The curved canopy structure enhances the station’s visual appeal while also improving durability against high winds. This approach aligns with ADNOC Distribution’s objectives that combine efficiency and sustainability with customer engagement in forecourt design.

“The fluid form of the Jabal Jais station is inspired by the UAE’s natural topography, providing an architectural style that blends with the environment while also guiding movement and improving functionality,” an ADNOC Distribution spokesperson told MobilityPlaza. 

EV charging points, part of ADNOC Distribution’s E2GO network, support demand for electric mobility solutions, and solar-powered light poles reduce energy consumption. To cater to the needs of cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts, the station includes amenities such as showers and locker rooms.

The combination of smart technologies and customer-focused facilities reflects ADNOC Distribution’s broader strategy to enhance mobility and convenience retail. The station is designed not only for fuel and EV charging but also acts as a space serving the community.

At the recent edition of ReFuel Forum MENA 2025 in Dubai, the Abu Dhabi-based retailer received the ‘Best Forecourt Design Award’ for its Jabal Jais site, recognizing ADNOC Distribution’s focus on design innovation and sustainability.
