Casey’s General Stores is accelerating its expansion plans with a target to open at least 80 new stores during fiscal year 2026, according to the company’s latest financial update.

The openings will include a mix of acquisitions and new builds, pushing the company closer to its goal of adding approximately 500 locations over a three-year strategic period.

The announcement follows a strong fourth quarter, where inside sales rose 12.4% and gains were driven by performance in prepared foods, beverages, and general merchandise. Casey’s expects continued growth in fiscal 2026, projecting inside same-store sales to rise between 2% and 5% and EBITDA to increase by 10% to 12%.

While same-store fuel volumes are expected to remain flat or slightly decline, the company is prioritizing in-store growth and network expansion, investing approximately $600 million in property and equipment for the year.

The new store openings will further solidify Casey’s footprint in key Midwest and Southern markets, reinforcing its position among the largest convenience store chains in the U.S.
