Coca-Cola to debut mini 7.5-ounce cans in U.S. c-stores

New format aims to appeal to budget-conscious and calorie-aware consumers.

Coca-Cola is introducing 7.5-ounce single-serve mini cans of its most popular sodas in U.S. convenience stores starting early next year, targeting consumers looking for more affordable and lower-calorie options.
The new format comes as the Atlanta-based beverage company faces uneven demand in the U.S. market, where recent sales growth has been driven more by price increases than volume. With many households tightening their budgets and more consumers seeking smaller portions, Coca-Cola sees the mini cans as a way to attract new customers.
“Affordability and recruitment are what we’re trying to do,” said Joel Bishop, President of Commercial Leadership for Coca-Cola North America. “There’s not a lot of under-$2 offerings.”
The suggested retail price for the mini cans will be $1.29, offering a cheaper alternative to the company’s 20-ounce plastic bottles, which contain 240 calories. By contrast, the mini cans contain just 90 calories each.
The company will launch mini cans across several of its core and flavored brands, including Coca-Cola, Coke Zero Sugar, Cherry Coke, Sprite, and Fanta. Diet Coke will also be available in select regions of the U.S. where the product is particularly popular.
By expanding its packaging options and sweetener choices, Coca-Cola aims to broaden its appeal to health-conscious and value-driven shoppers, while boosting trial and consumption in the competitive beverage market.
