This is the first of a series of locations to be established in partnership with the international sports retailer across the country.

Fastned has officially opened its first ultra-fast charging station in collaboration with the international sports retailer Decathlon, located in Kortrijk, Belgium.
This marks the beginning of a series of fast charging locations to be built in cooperation, with an initial site offering six charging spots, each with a maximum capacity of 200 kW. The collaboration is part of both companies' efforts to accelerate the transition to e-mobility, as another station is set to open in Wavre later this year.
“Decathlon is the perfect strategic partner in our ambition to drive the green transition forward. Their stores are located in prime areas, close to highways and often near busy traffic corridors. Their spacious parking lots are ideal for developing high-quality charging stations,” shared Laurence De Bisschop, Lead Network Expansion at Fastned Belgium.
This partnership is also seen as a major asset for the city of Kortrijk and the broader West Flanders province. The municipality has identified ten locations where new charging stations will be installed in the near future, including in areas with high foot traffic such as sports centers and near hospitality venues.
With this collaboration, Fastned and Decathlon aim to contribute significantly to the e-mobility transition in Belgium, as both companies have plans to expand the partnership to more locations across the country.
