ORLEN is entering a new era of e-mobility with plans to overhaul its charging infrastructure and launch its own advanced network across the Czech Republic. The company aims to operate up to 1,700 high-speed charging points by 2035, focusing on quality, availability, and customer comfort.

The move reflects ORLEN’s strategy to turn its service stations into multifunctional service hubs that combine traditional fuels, electric vehicle (EV) charging, retail, refreshments, and digital services. “Our own charging infrastructure is a logical step that will enable us to guarantee a high standard of service across the entire network,” said Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, member of the ORLEN Unipetrol Board of Directors.

Currently, ORLEN operates 294 charging points at 102 locations in cooperation with partners. That will change as the company introduces its own technology and business model. By 2030, ORLEN plans 600 high-speed chargers (minimum 150 kW), expanding to 1,700 by 2035, each site offering four to eight charging points.

Initial efforts will focus on motorway stations within the EU’s TEN-T network, with 22 high-capacity chargers set for 2026 and 300 more in the planning phase. The company also plans to launch a fully integrated digital platform by 2027, enabling seamless payments, services, and personalized features via its mobile app.

The expansion aligns with EU Green Deal targets and Czechia’s goal of one million electric cars by 2035, positioning ORLEN at the forefront of Europe’s sustainable mobility transition.
