YPF has rolled out a new differentiated pricing model across all its service stations in Argentina, marking a significant shift in how fuel prices are managed in the country.

The initiative introduces variable pricing based on time-of-day demand cycles and transaction methods, supported by cutting-edge digital infrastructure and the debut of self-service fueling pilots. Starting this month, YPF is updating its fuel prices with an average increase of 3.5%, aligning with traditional factors like global oil prices, exchange rates, fuel taxes, and biofuel costs.

Customers refueling between midnight and 6 AM also receive a 3% discount when paying via the YPF App. In addition, at designated stations equipped with self-service pumps, an additional 3% discount is granted.

This strategy is powered by YPF’s newly launched Real Time Intelligence Commercial Center, a technological backbone that allows for the monitoring and management of fuel pricing and station operations across the nationwide network. The system enables a more responsive and tailored approach to pricing, based on real-time data and customer behavior.

YPF plans to extend its self-service offering rapidly across the country, aiming to equip 50% of its service stations with the feature in the coming months, excluding the provinces of La Pampa, Jujuy, and Buenos Aires, where local regulations currently prohibit self-service fuel dispensing.

With this move, YPF is not only responding to evolving customer preferences but also setting the stage for a broader cultural shift in Argentina’s fuel retail sector.
